My Why

‘My work is not about highlighting the bad, the glitz, or glamour. But rather to show and embrace the every day. The simple. The human condition. Because this is where I believe we can come to know and understand each other. Through the lens of our common humanity.’

It’s the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

The event that called forth “my why”.

So it seems a perfect time to start my blog at this moment in time.

Because so much has happened since.

And I just can’t stand the hate. The othering of others.

The dehumanizing and disrespect of those who don’t think, look, or act exactly as we each do.

Certainly, this is no easy task.

Nor one that is fool proof.

But I try.

My work has never been about highlighting the bad, the glitz, or glamour.

But rather to show and embrace the every day. The simple. The human condition.

Because this is where I believe we can come to know and understand each other.

Through the lens of our common humanity.
